Roles & Responsibilities :
A candidate will be responsible for handling back-office and middle-office processes for financial institutions. A candidate will have to manage different stages of the client and product lifecycle, including Know Your Customer (KYC), reference data management, legal documentation, loans, portfolio reconciliation, document processing, system updates, settlements, and brokerage functions. This position also includes drafting documents, supporting trade operations, managing corporate actions, and ensuring compliance with tax operations.
An immportant part of the job is data management, which involves collecting, cataloging, processing, and updating information in systems. A candidate will perform reconciliations, facilitates settlements, and ensures smooth fund transfers. Additionally, A candidate will have to prepare reports using MS Excel and may need to interact with external parties such as agents, counterparties, and clients. These interactions, conducted via phone or email, help resolve any issues related to processes and discrepancies.
A candidate will be responsible for identifying risks and escalating them as needed. A candidate must promptly report outstanding issues to clients and take the necessary steps to resolve them. Another important responsibility is supporting various trade operations across the Trade Lifecycle. This involves matching trade confirmations, assisting with trade pre-settlements, reconciling trade positions between the front and back offices, generating reports, and settling cash flows arising from trading events such as interest payments and premiums.
A candidate in this role will also responsible for managing syndicated loans and corporate actions, ensuring that transactions are processed accurately and on time. Beyond the Trade Lifecycle, A candidate must handle additional capital market operations, including reference data support and regulatory reporting. This includes compliance with regulatory requirements, such as Swaps Data Repository (SDR) reporting and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, as well as performing reconciliations between the front office and back office | eClerx is hiring freshers for Analyst Role in Mumbai !
To perform effectively, A candidate must develop a deep understanding of various financial products. These include equity securities and derivatives, interest rate swaps, foreign exchange spot transactions, options, futures, credit derivative swaps, commodities derivatives, and fixed income products such as corporate and treasury bonds.

A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree such as B.Com, BBA, BBM, or BCA, or a Master’s Degree such as M.Com, MBA, or PGDM. This role is open to a candidate with 0 to 2 years of experience in investment banking operations, particularly in areas such as project management, people management, process handling, and client interactions.
A foundational understanding of finance, investment banking, trade lifecycle, and derivatives is essential. A candidate should have strong logical and quantitative skills to analyze data effectively and derive meaningful insights. They must also possess excellent problem-solving abilities to address financial and operational challenges efficiently.
Time management is a key requirement for this role, as a candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines. The ability to quickly resolve issues and make informed decisions is highly valued. Additionally, strong organizational skills are essential to plan and execute tasks in an orderly manner.
