Roles and Responsibilities :

A candidate will be a part of the product development team, contributing to the creation and enhancement of modules for data-driven applications. A candidate’s primary task will be to develop high-quality code that meets production standards while following best practices in coding and software development.

This will include writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code that integrates seamlessly into the broader application. Additionally, A candidate will play an important role in troubleshooting any issues that arise in the production environment, assisting in resolving problems efficiently to ensure smooth operations.

A candidate will be responsible for researching and exploring new technologies that can address Zeotap’s business challenges. This involves staying up to date with the latest trends in technology, understanding a candidate’s potential applications, and implementing them where relevant to improve the company’s products or services. By doing so, A candidate will help the team stay competitive and innovative, continually improving the company’s data-driven solutions.

A candidate will also need to be aware of and comply with Zeotap’s company policies, especially those related to privacy and information security. This means a candidate will need to ensure that their work aligns with Zeotap’s security standards and follows protocols for handling sensitive information. This is essential to maintain the trust of customers and ensure the security and integrity of the data Zeotap manages.

Another aspect of a candidate  is to complete any awareness training assigned by the company in a timely manner. This training may cover a variety of topics, from company policies to security protocols, and it is essential that the individual participates in and completes all training to stay informed and up-to-date with company guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria :

The eligibility criteria for this position needs a candidate to commit to a minimum of six months for an internship. A candidate should have a strong understanding of advanced data structures and algorithms, along with a proven ability to solve complex problems effectively. Good programming skills in at least one of the following languages—Java, Scala, GoLang, or Python—are mandatory, as well as the ability to write efficient code in one of these languages.

A candidate must have above-basic SQL querying skills, including the ability to handle more complex queries. A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with strong academic credentials is needed to ensure a solid technical foundation. Additionally, experience in working with large datasets, particularly those of terabyte size, is highly valued. This experience should demonstrate the ability to manage and process vast amounts of data efficiently.

A strong understanding of transactional and high-scale systems is important for dealing with large volumes of data and high-traffic operations. A candidate should also have taken courses or gained experience in Big Data technologies and NoSQL databases, as these are crucial for managing modern data systems. Familiarity with writing and optimizing complex SQL queries is also preferred, as the role involves working extensively with databases.
