Responsibilities :
A candidate will be responsible for developing systems and frameworks to improve the quality and fundamentals of various products. A candidate will be responsible for using AI and advanced telemetry tools to gather insights and enhance the overall product quality. A candidate will also create and implement code for products, services, or features, reusing existing code wherever applicable to increase efficiency.
A candidate’s responsibilities includes contributing to the identification of dependencies, breaking down larger tasks into smaller, more manageable work items, and providing estimations. This helps in bringing clarity to the development process. Additionally, A candidate will independently create clear and articulated plans for testing and ensuring the quality of the solutions being developed.
To enhance product performance, A candidate will utilize performance and profiling tools to identify potential hotspots and bottlenecks in both hardware and software, helping to improve system performance and overall user experience. A candidate will also act as the Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for monitoring systems, products, or features for any degradation, downtime, or interruptions. In case of simple issues, they will be responsible for restoring the system, product, or service to normal.
Another significant aspect of the a candidate is overseeing release management. A candidate will ensure that releases follow the established schedule, identifying any blockers or delays that may occur. A candidate will work to improve the signals causing deployment issues, triage whether the issues are new or existing, and mitigate them as needed to improve the release process.

Qualifications
The qualifications for this position require a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with proven experience in coding using languages such as C, C++, or Rust. Alternatively, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with experience in the same coding languages, will also be considered. A candidate with equivalent experience in these areas will also be considered for the position.
In addition to educational qualifications, A candidate must be able to meet the security screening requirements set by Microsoft, customers, or government agencies. This involves undergoing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and then again every two years thereafter. This screening is essential for ensuring that individuals working in this role meet the necessary security standards and can handle sensitive data.
This role also requires at least 1 year of technical engineering experience in coding with languages such as C, C++, or Rust. This experience should includes working on projects that demonstrate a strong understanding of system software development and an ability to write clean, efficient code. A candidate with a Master’s Degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience may be considered with fewer years of experience in coding, provided they have the necessary technical skills.
Experience in improving service operations or engineering quality is also a key qualification for this role.
