Roles and Responsibilities:

A candidate at Ivalua plays a crucial role within the R&D team, contributing to the development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions. A candidate’s primary responsibility is to understand the business functionality of Ivalua’s solutions by analyzing present Non-Regression Testing (NRT) scenarios. This includes gaining a deep understanding of the product’s capabilities and the test scenarios associated with it.

A candidate will engage in a range of activities to support the software testing process. These include minimal JavaScript coding, test planning and design, and setting up test environments. A candidate will analyze test cases, develop and enhance automation scripts, execute scripts, and monitor test runs. A key task of the role is analyzing test results to identify issues and reporting defects accurately to the relevant stakeholders.

In addition to utilizing Testim, Ivalua’s chosen automation testing tool, A candidate will build automated test scripts for the provided scenarios. A candidate will also define the purpose of each step within the automation process to ensure clarity and efficiency. When new product functionalities are developed, A candidate will create and document new test cases to ensure the software is rigorously tested and meets quality standards.

Manual and regression testing may also be required, particularly during periods of high demand or for specific testing needs. A candidate will provide ongoing support for test automation by following up on test execution results, analyzing failures, and creating Research & Development (R&D) requests in the Extranet when necessary.

Regular communication and reporting is important to this role. A candidate will report to the QA Automation Manager, providing updates on planning, progress, staffing, and test execution through daily and weekly status reports. This ensures that the team remains aligned and that potential obstacle are addressed promptly.

A focus on continuous improvement is essential for success in this position. A candidate will be encouraged to contribute ideas for technical adaptations, enhanced performance, and improved robustness of automated testing processes. Introducing new testing scenarios and identifying opportunities for optimization will also be part of candidate’s responsibilities.

Ivalua works under a hybrid working model, requiring a candidate to work from the office three days a week. This structure promotes collaboration within the team while allowing for some flexibility.

Overall, A candidate will play a essential role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Ivalua’s web application solutions. By effectively planning, designing, and executing testing processes, A candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of the product while gaining valuable hands-on experience in software testing and automation.

 

 

Skills :

A candidate must possesses a solid foundation in software testing across all phases of the testing lifecycle, with a preference for experience in a Windows environment. A candidate must be proficient in using a variety of automation testing tools to execute tests and analyze results effectively, ensuring thorough and efficient testing processes.

Strong soft skills is required for this role. A candidate demonstrates excellent communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with teams located across different continents and time zones. A candidate’s problem-solving mindset and self-driven attitude make them capable of independently addressing challenges and contributing actively to team goals.

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate for the QA Automation Engineer Intern position holds a BE/BTech or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or possesses a foreign equivalent qualification. A candidate must be familiar with the procurement domain is considered a valuable addition. A candidate with strong communication skills are essential for collaborating effectively with diverse teams. A candidate should also exhibit a problem-solving mindset and a self-driven attitude, enabling them to tackle challenges independently while contributing proactively to team objectives.
